Care instructions, materials and certifications

As your poncho is 100% cotton, it can theoretically be washed up to 60 degrees, although gentle washes are better for both your clothes and the planet. So we recommend washing at 30 degrees, gentle spin, with similar colors. Tumble-drying is permitted: not too hot, it will plump up the fibers and restore your poncho's softness. If you prefer to air-dry, avoid overexposure to direct sunlight. To obtain our subtle shades, the dye chosen is delicate. And if, like us, you're a fan of faded shades, you'll be delighted with the results over the years. Do not use bleach.

If threads appear with use, it's due to the length of the loop that gives our sponge its softness. A tighter sponge would be thinner, drier and less soft. The disadvantage of a long loop is that a few threads may come out, which simply need to be cut with a small scissor flush with the thread! A little regular trimming and your poncho will look as good as new again!

We've developed for you a terry made from 100% organic cotton, Gots* certified, in a beautiful weight (400 gr/m) that's soft and fluffy, but still lightweight, so it won't weigh down your shoulders or your suitcase! So you can take it anywhere. Highly absorbent, your poncho dries quickly. Its long loops give it a very natural feel on the skin - a real cocoon of softness.

Thanks to its generous size, it can even replace a fouta: all you have to do is sit on it and rest your head on the hood... luxury. We've tested, reworked and refined this material, and we've been wearing it a lot for over a year now. If you take good care of it, our poncho will last over time and accompany you throughout your daily life, at home or on vacation! 

Choose organic cotton: its fibers are more resistant over time. Having undergone fewer chemical treatments, it remains authentic and supple, even after many washes.

The GOTS* (Global Organic Textile Standards) label

It guarantees the organic nature of the fabric used, from the harvesting of raw materials right through to the final product. As a result, it is a guarantee of eco-responsible manufacturing, ensuring the absence of any product likely to present health or environmental risks. It also certifies decent working conditions for workers, and prohibits forced labor, brutal treatment and child labor. Choosing a textile certified by the GOTS cotton label is a way of participating in an ethical mode of consumption, more respectful of people and the planet.

*This label covers all stages of poncho production: yarn dyeing, finishing and warping, weaving, making-up and embroidery.

In short, the OEKO-TEX label is a guarantee of quality and safety for consumers, who can choose textiles that are not harmful to their health and skin, while helping to reduce the production of environmentally hazardous waste. Our garment factory is very committed to ecological issues.
